9-11 MEMORIAL BRIDGE FISHING PIER
This public fishing pier lies in the northeast corner of the 9/11 Memorial Bridge, also known as the Route 70 Memorial Bridge. The wooden structure was added to the bridge in remembrance of the 170 individuals from Monmouth and Ocean counties who died during the terrorist attacks. A pedestal at the right side of the pier was constructed in memory of James P. Lovely, who lost his life during the construction of the bridge. Just facing the Manasquin River, this public fishing pier offers a good spot for fishing as well as ADA access.
