FOX ISLAND FISHING PIER
The Fox Island Fishing pier was established in the year 1995. Originally, this pier was owned by the State of Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). Following the constructions of the facilities, management, as agreed by both parties, was transferred to Pierce County. And again in 2011, the management of the pier was transferred to PenMet Parks and was supported by the WDFW. This unique fishing pier has a 1,200 square foot handicap accessible pier, paved pathways and handrails, parking areas, and restrooms. It was constructed with concrete pilings to prevent erosion and is 325 feet above the water. For those without boats or kayaks, there are 150 feet of shoreline on either side of the pier where they can fish.
