HARPER FISHING PIER
The pier was originally constructed in the 1880s and served as a port for Mosquito Fleet steamboats. When it was refurbished in 1919 to accommodate car ferries, it continued to do so until the early 1960s. Since then, Harper Pier has been used as a leisure area, primarily for fishing and scuba diving. Since its formal reopening, SHarper Pier has enjoyed great success. The Pier, which is run and maintained by the Port, is a local and regional recreational asset. All of the recreational activities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer have been carried out on the recently rebuilt pier.
