Johnnie Mercer’s Pier, the only concrete fishing pier in the state of North Carolina. Located in the heart of Wrightsvill e beach and extending over 1200′ into the Atlantic Ocean Johnnie Mercer’s Pier is a must for anyone visiting the area. It is however one of the only pier’s in North Carolina that does charge a fee just to walk on the pier.
