Little River Fishing Pier
Situated just off the causeway crossing the Intracoastal Waterway to Saint Simons Island, these piers offer good access for the nonboating angler. Little River Fishing Pier was once part of an old causeway bridge that has been removed, leaving behind a small pier where fishing is allowed. This pier is a popular location for crabbing, positioned just north of St. Simons Sound which funnels sea life into Little River with the tides. Little River is the second river you cross from the mainland on the F.J. Torras Causeway toward St. Simons Island. There is no fishing off of the first bridge. Heading east, you can pull off to the right side (south side) of the causeway, then follow the access road underneath the causeway to the north side. Once on the north side, park and walk onto remnants of an older causeway bridge that has been removed, leaving behind a small pier. You can also access the Little River Fishing Pier if you are coming from St. Simons Island heading west toward the mainland.
