NEWPORT PUBLIC FISHING PIER
Newport Public Fishing Pier is located near the historic Newport Bay Bridge. Known as the “Dungeness Crab Capital of the World” in 2007, it is famous for its huge harvests of crabs. Tourists and locals fill the pier during September up to the winter months, since crab meats are bigger during this period. Seals were also a sight in the area, waiting to steal fresh seafoods aboard.
