Indian River Inlet Jetty
The Indian River Inlet Jetty was built in 1939 by the government to help stabalize the Indian River Inlet. These steel and boulder jetties help to sabilize the shoreline from the massive amount of water that flows during the changing tides. Over the past few years there have been several fishing boats that have hit the walls due to the currents. These same currents attract a large number of predator sportfish such as stripers which wait for schools of baitfish to be pushed out to sea. The south side of the jetty provides better footing for shore fishing and there is also an excellent amount of parking directly next to the pier. The address that we have listed for Indian River Inlet Jetty is for a small community, but the address will take you directly past the jetty where you should park.
