BOB HALL FISHING PIER
Bob Hall Fishing Pier was built in 1950 and is located in Nueces County on the North End of Padre Island on the Gulf of Mexico. It was originally 300 feet long, with a T-head structure at one end. However, in 1952, the pier was extended for another T-head, making it 600 feet long. The pier was quickly repaired because of an insurance settlement. However, after a year, the pier was destroyed by Hurricane Carla in 1961. It was then rebuilt and extended to make it 1,200 feet long. Unfortunately, it was destroyed yet again by a Hurricane. Since 1950, the Bob Hall Pier has survived several hurricanes. Bob Hall Pier is temporarily closed as of the moment for reconstruction. The restoration is scheduled to be completed by mid-2023.
