OCEAN CITY FISHING CLUB
Ocean City Fishing Club was first founded in year 1913.The fishing club is the nation’s oldest to have been in continuous operation. Storms and hurricanes have caused a number of catastrophes that have affected the Ocean City Fishing Club. In 1916, 1945, 1949, 1962, and 1992, the pier was severely damaged by storms. The pier was constantly extended, repaired, and/or rebuilt due to the members’ passion for fishing. The length of its Pier stretches 635 feet from the open Boardwalk through sand and into the Atlantic Ocean. The outer platform tee (T) is 50 feet broad, 30 feet long, and elevated by around 24 feet or so. As of 2021, the club is not currently taking any new members.
