The Springmaid Beach Pier is a 1,060 foot structure that was first built in the 19502 and has been rebuilt twice since. Although the pier services the Springmaid Beach Resort, it is open to the public and features a snack bar, bar, full fishing equipment rental and gift shop. No fishing license is required when fishing off of a pier. The Springmaid Beach Resort also has a miniature golf course, so the family can make a full day out of fishing or simply strolling over the ocean. Springmaid Beach Pier is on the south end of Myrtle Beach.
