VENTNOR CITY FISHING PIER (CAMBRIDGE AVENUE & THE BOARDWALK FISHING PIER)
A well-known pier has graced the shores of Ventnor for a very long time. The first pier, which was constructed around 1914 but later replaced by a larger pavilion, was one of at least three that have previously stood here. On August 1940, a fire destroyed the second pier, which was afterwards replaced by a third pier. A storm in March 1963 completely wiped down that pier. The existing pier reopened on July 4th, 2008, following a nine-month, $3.2 million repair effort in 2007. Ventnor City Fishing Pier is a 1000 foot-long pier located at S Cambridge Ave & Boardwalk, Ventnor City, NJ 08406, USA. It is the state’s longest fishing pier and offers the finest fishing and sightseeing opportunities.
